An establishment with charm is a special place where you can feel certain sensations.
Casa Doñano was built keeping that in mind, and is the result of dreams come true. And you can notice it. The Rooms The house has 9 rooms. Each one of them has its own personality and evokes stories of work, passion, love and places that are a part of the life experiences of its creators.
El Sobrao. Below the house’s roofing… where memories, pieces of junk and paper are kept, we discovered a space open to light and peace.
El Cargadero. Like all the other rooms, this one evokes a part of the indiano’s story, the dock onto which after so many years he stepped again, when he came back to Galicia for the first time.
El Cubano. Casa Doñano’s founder wanted to infuse in here all the colour of the Caribbean and the flavour of the old Havana where he spent so many years.
El Malecón. The true “backbone” of the Havana along which Jesús Millares used to go for a walk with his “mulata”, recalling with so much yearning the Galicia where he was born….
El Vedado. This room evokes the Havana neighbourhood where the indiano lived his intense life with the mulata.
La Cuadrita. This was the place in the house where in the past the youngest calves, “os xatos”, were carefully kept separately from the rest. Room adapted for disabled persons.
La Mulata. This room recreates the memory of the indiano’s partner in Havana, a sweet and sensual woman.
Las Carboneras. This brings the memory of a dream come true. With this name, Jesús Millares christened the company which brought him his fortune in Havana.
